Section 17-107-102 - Purpose

Since the professions related to orthotics, prosthetics, and pedorthics significantly affect the lives of the people of this state, it is the purpose of this chapter to protect resources available to the Arkansas Medicaid Program and the public in general by setting standards of qualification, training, and experience for those who represent themselves to the public as orthotists, prosthetists, and pedorthists and by promoting high standards of professional performance for those engaged in the practice of orthotics, prosthetics, and pedorthics.Acts 2007, No. 174, § 1.
