(a) All permits issued by the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners to dentists who administer general anesthesia or sedation shall continue in full force and effect until forfeited, suspended, or revoked.(b) At the same time each year a dentist renews his or her license to practice dentistry, a dentist must renew his or her permit to administer general anesthesia and sedation with the board on forms prepared and furnished by the board.(c) A renewal fee calculated by the board to cover the costs of any on-site inspection and for otherwise administering this subchapter must accompany the form.(d) Failure to renew a permit will terminate the authority of a dentist to administer general anesthesia or sedation.Acts 1987, No. 584, § 2; 1997, No. 128, § 3.
