Section 17-95-504 - Remedial training

(a) A temporary license may be granted to an eligible physician for not more than three (3) twelve-month terms.(b)(1) If after that time the physician has not satisfactorily passed the examination for licensure, the Arkansas State Medical Board, in collaboration with the Dean of the College of Medicine of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, shall review the physician's performance and areas of deficiency on the examination for licensure and shall prescribe a plan of remedial training for the physician.(2) The physician must carry out the prescribed plan before being eligible for either a regular license based on successful passage of the examination for licensure or another period of temporary licensure under the same provisions and requirements as were originally applied for his or her temporary license under the provisions of this subchapter.Acts 1977, No. 415, § 5; A.S.A. 1947, § 72-632; Acts 1992 (1st Ex.
