Thirty-five (35) days prior to the adoption of any rule or other proposal that will impose a new or increased cost obligation for education on the state or any local school district, the board, commission, agency, department, officer, or other authority, excepting the General Assembly and the courts, shall give notice of such rule or proposal and shall file a fiscal impact statement with the Secretary of State and the House Committee on Education and the Senate Committee on Education.Amended by Act 2019, No. 315,§ 1700, eff. 7/24/2019.Acts 1995, No. 1253, § 2; 1997, No. 112, § 28.
