Section 19-10-306 - Res judicata or collateral estoppel

If an individual commences a civil action in any court of law within this state which arises out of the same subject matter or occurrence that is the subject matter of a complaint before the Arkansas State Claims Commission, the commission shall recognize any final judgment or order rendered in the civil action as a bar to further consideration of the claim in accordance with principles of res judicata and collateral estoppel.Acts 1981, No. 586, § 6; A.S.A. 1947, § 13-1421.
