Section 19-4-906 - Motor vehicle restrictions and authorizations - Definition

(a)(1) None of the funds appropriated for the various state agencies, authorities, boards, commissions, departments, and institutions of higher education listed in this section shall be used to purchase, lease for over thirty (30) days, operate, repair, or provide services for more than the maximum number of passenger motor vehicles as stated in this section, except in an emergency as proclaimed by the Governor.(2)(A) As used in this section, 'passenger motor vehicles' means vehicles licensed for highway use, including without limitation automobiles, trucks, and vans, that do not require a commercial driver's license to operate.(B) As used in this section, 'passenger motor vehicles' does not include vehicles that are primarily used for purposes of providing health screenings or providing health treatment.(3) Mileage reimbursement for employees' utilization of their personal automobiles is not included in this restriction.
