Section 19-7-707 - Transfer of retirement benefits

Any employee who is now a member of any retirement system shall not lose any retirement benefits accrued in the system by the reorganization of the Title XX service program. An employee so affected shall have the option of continuing as a member of the retirement system of which the employee is a member at the time of transfer or to join the retirement system for which the transfer makes the employee eligible. However, the affected employee shall make his or her election within six (6) months from the date of transfer.Acts 1981, No. 538, § 10; A.S.A. 1947, § 13-749.
