Section 2-2-420 - Penalties for inducing breach of contract

Any person or corporation whose officers or employees knowingly induce or attempt to induce any member or stockholder of an association organized under this subchapter to breach his or her marketing contract with the association or who maliciously and knowingly spread false reports about the finances or management of the association shall be guilty of a violation and subject to a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) for the offense and shall be liable to the association aggrieved in a civil suit in the penal sum of five hundred dollars ($500) for each offense.Acts 1921, No. 116, § 24; Pope's Dig., § 2309; A.S.A. 1947, § 77-924; Acts 2005, No. 1994, § 4.
