Section 20-13-502 - Purpose of program

The purpose of this subchapter shall be to implement a statewide emergency poison control-drug information-toxicological laboratory services program (PC-DI-TL) designed and structured to deliver, on a twenty-four-hour coverage basis, reliable, accurate, qualified professional judgments and responses to requests for emergency poison control-drug information data and toxicological laboratory services, such services to include, but not be limited to, analysis of blood, urine, vomitus, and gastric lavage for substance identification purposes.Acts 1975, No. 600, § 2; A.S.A. 1947, § 82-3502.
