Section 20-13-701 - Legislative findings

(a) The General Assembly finds and declares that, because of the inherent threat of human danger posed by injudicious use, or misuse, of dangerous substances, Arkansas citizens are in need of emergency poison and drug information services and that the public health and welfare require such services.(b) The General Assembly further finds and declares that legislation is required to authorize and provide effective practical delivery of emergency poison and drug information services judgments and responses to physicians and allied health professionals who deliver healthcare services within this state and, if funds permit, to those citizens of this state who request such services.Acts 1991, No. 796, § 1.
