Section 20-9-1103 - Cervical Cancer Task Force - Powers and duties

(a) The Cervical Cancer Task Force shall:(1) Make recommendations to the Breast Cancer Control Advisory Board consistent with the intent of this subchapter;(2) Pursue both public and private funding to further the intent of this subchapter; and(3) Develop standards and policy recommendations considering, but not limited to, the following:(A) Methods for raising public awareness of the prevalence, causes, prevention, screening, and treatment considerations for cervical cancer;(B) Methods for raising the medical community's awareness of the prevalence, causes, prevention, screening, and treatment considerations for cervical cancer; and(C) Methods for ensuring that services across the spectrum of causes, prevention, screening, evaluation, and treatment are available to women in Arkansas.(b) The Arkansas Central Cancer Registry shall provide an annual cervical cancer report to the task force.Acts 2005, No. 1414, § 1; 2009, No. 280, § 3.
