Section 20-9-202 - Penalties

(a) Any person, partnership, association, or corporation establishing, conducting, managing, or operating any institution without first obtaining a license therefor as provided or violating any provision of this subchapter or rules lawfully promulgated under this subchapter shall be guilty of a violation.(b) Upon conviction, the person shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100) for the first offense and not less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500) for each subsequent offense.(c) Each day the institution shall operate after a first conviction shall be considered a subsequent offense.Amended by Act 2019, No. 315,§ 1827, eff. 7/24/2019.Acts 1961, No. 414, § 27; A.S.A. 1947, § 82-353; Acts 2005, No. 1994, § 104.
