Arkansas Legal Code
(a)(1) The Division of Developmental Disabilities Services is authorized to have cash fund accounts for capital improvements to physical plants and for the purchase of capital equipment for the five (5) human development centers operated by the division.(2) The cash funds shall be held by the division from the proceeds of the sale of timber that may be harvested from land owned by the division.(3) The harvesting of timber is specifically authorized to provide funds to finance capital improvements to the physical plants and for major capital equipment purchases at any of the five (5) human development centers.(b) All expenditures of funds derived from the sale of timber will be expended in accordance with relevant state procurement laws.(c)(1) The division shall report all income derived from timber management to the Chief Fiscal Officer of the State and to the Legislative Council.(2) Any contracts initiated for the harvesting of timber shall be submitted to the Review Subcommittee of the Legislative Council for review.Acts 1999, No. 1537, § 97.
