Section 20-49-102 - Sterilization by consent not restricted

Nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed to limit or restrict the right of a competent adult to consent to a sterilization procedure on himself or herself or to render liable any licensed hospital or its governing body or members thereof, or its superintendent, administrator, agents, representatives, servants, or employees nor any nurse or physician for the performance of a sterilization procedure upon a competent consenting adult.Acts 1971, No. 433, ch. 5, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, § 59-501.
