Section 20-49-207 - Nonliability of physician or hospital

(a) No action shall be brought against any licensed hospital or its governing body, the members thereof, or its superintendent, administrator, agents, representatives, servants, or employees nor against any physician, nurse, or other person who participates in the performance of a sterilization procedure pursuant to and in compliance with a court order issued under the provisions of this chapter.(b) Nothing contained in this section is intended to exempt from liability any physician, nurse, or other person who, in his or her acts or omissions to act, is found to have failed to observe the standard of care prescribed by law.Acts 1971, No. 433, ch. 5, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, § 59-501.
