Section 20-64-810 - Voluntary admissions

Any person who believes himself or herself to be addicted to alcohol or other drugs may apply to the administrator or his or her designee of a receiving facility or program for admission. If the administrator or his or her designee shall be satisfied after examination of the applicant that he or she is in need of treatment and will be benefited thereby, the applicant may be received and cared for in the receiving facility or program for such a period of time as the administrator or his or her designee shall deem necessary for the recovery and improvement of the person, provided that the person agrees at all times to remain in the receiving facility or program.Acts 1989 (3rd Ex.
