The purpose and intent of this subchapter is to establish a new optional categorically needy Medicaid eligibility group under section 4733 of the Balanced Budget Act of 1997 to provide medical assistance to disabled working persons whose family incomes are less than two hundred fifty percent (250%) of the federal poverty guidelines.Acts 1999, No. 1197, § 2.
