Section 21-4-307 - Officers - Expiration of term while on leave

(a) In the event the term of office of an official on leave shall expire during leave, the office of that official shall be filled by election or appointment as may be required by law.(b) However, the official on leave shall have the right to qualify and become a candidate for such office, and if nominated and elected, shall have the same rights and privileges provided in this subchapter.Acts 1943, No. 247, § 4; A.S.A. 1947, § 12-2304.
