Section 22-3-202 - Secretary of State as custodian

(a) The Secretary of State is the constituted and legal custodian of the State Capitol Building, the grounds, and all the furniture and fixtures thereon and therein belonging to the state.(b) It is the duty of the Secretary of State to report to each General Assembly the condition of the State Capitol Building and of the grounds, furniture, and fixtures and to make recommendations relative to the maintenance of the building and grounds.(c) The Secretary of State may establish rental or other charges for the renting or leasing of property under an existing rental contract or lease to the Secretary of State as of January 1, 2013, within the State Capitol Building, the Capitol Hill Building, and the parking areas adjacent to the State Capitol Building and the Capitol Hill Building.Amended by Act 2013, No. 1179,§ 1, eff. 8/16/2013.Acts 1917, No. 150, § 2, p. 803; C. & M.
