Section 22-5-301 - Policy

It is declared to be the policy of the State of Arkansas:(1) To provide for the development and conservation of the human and soil resources of the state;(2) To protect the lands owned by the state and to provide for their classification and best use in the interests of the future general welfare and agricultural well-being of the state;(3) To encourage the settlement of the farm families of the state upon family-sized tracts under conditions conducive to successful farming;(4) To preserve land in public ownership suited for public use as forests, parks, or other purposes;(5) To cooperate with federal agencies having similar and allied objectives; and(6) To protect and promote the health, safety, and general welfare of the people of Arkansas.Acts 1939, No. 331, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, § 10-401.
