Section 22-9-702 - Payments not compensation for realty taken

Any payment made under the authority granted in § 22-9-701 shall be for compensating or reimbursing the displaced person in accordance with the requirements of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, and the payments shall not, for any purpose, be deemed or considered compensation for real property acquired or as compensation for damages to remaining real property.Acts 1973, No. 12, § 3; A.S.A. 1947, § 14-1002.
