Section 23-13-228 - Transportation of persons or property in interstate commerce on public highways unlawful without adequate surety

It is declared unlawful for any motor carrier to use any of the public highways of this state for the transportation of persons or property in interstate commerce unless there is in force with respect to the motor carrier adequate surety for the protection of the public.Acts 1955, No. 397, § 25; 1977, No. 468, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, § 73-1778; Acts 1993, No. 1027, § 1; 2007, No. 232, § 3.
