Section 23-4-204 - Water, gas, or electricity - Disconnecting charges unlawful - Penalty

(a) It shall be unlawful for any public utility furnishing water, gas, or electricity to the general public to make a charge for disconnecting service.(b) Any public utility described in subsection (a) of this section which makes a charge for disconnecting service in violation of this section shall be fined in any sum not less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500), and each violation shall constitute a separate offense.Acts 1957, No. 275, §§ 1, 3; A.S.A. 1947, §§ 73-204.1, 73-204.3.
