(a) There is created under the State Securities Department a Credit Union Division which shall be administered by the State Credit Union Supervisor. The Securities Commissioner, in consultation with the Secretary of the Department of Commerce and the Bank Commissioner, shall act as State Credit Union Supervisor.(b) The supervisor, in consultation with the Secretary of the Department of Commerce and the Bank Commissioner, shall appoint such administrative assistants and examiners as may be necessary to assist in the performance of his or her duties under this chapter.Amended by Act 2023, No. 475,§ 5, eff. 8/1/2023.Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 571, eff. 7/1/2019.Acts 1971, No. 132, § 41; 1985, No. 936, § 20; A.S.A. 1947, § 67-941.
