Section 23-102-117 - Federal or multistate catastrophic funds

In the event a federal or multistate catastrophic insurance or reinsurance program intended to serve purposes similar to the purposes of the Market Assistance Program or the Arkansas Earthquake Authority is created, the Board of the Arkansas Earthquake Authority shall promptly take appropriate actions to coordinate with the federal or multistate program to the extent consistent with this chapter and if such actions are in the best interest of Arkansas citizens. The board shall also make recommendations to the General Assembly for coordination with the federal or multistate program or for termination of the program or the authority, if it is in the best interest of Arkansas citizens, or take such other actions as the board finds appropriate.Acts 1999, No. 1343, § 17.
