Section 23-63-210 - Certificate of authority - Issuance

(a) The certificate of authority, if issued, shall specify the kind or kinds of insurance the insurer is authorized to transact in Arkansas. At the insurer's request, the Insurance Commissioner may issue a certificate of authority limited to particular types of insurance or insurance coverage within the scope of a kind of insurance as defined in §§ 23-62-101 et seq., 23-62-201, 23-62-202, 23-62-204, 23-62-205, and 23-63-701.(b) Although issued to the insurer, the certificate of authority is at all times the property of the State of Arkansas. Upon any expiration, suspension, or termination of the certificate, the insurer shall promptly deliver the certificate of authority to the commissioner.Acts 1959, No. 148, § 54; A.S.A. 1947, § 66-2212; Acts 1987, No. 456, § 7.
