If a health maintenance organization requires the selection or assignment of a primary care physician, the health maintenance organization shall provide an enrollee who is a student enrolled at a postsecondary institution one (1) of the following options:(1) To select two (2) primary care physicians, one (1) located near the enrollee's domicile and one (1) located near the postsecondary institution, provided both primary care physicians have provider contracts with the health maintenance organization; or(2) To select a primary care physician when the enrollee resides near the enrollee's domicile and then change primary care physicians when the enrollee attends the postsecondary institution, the effective date of the change to be the first of the month following notification, provided both primary care physicians have provider contracts with the health maintenance organization.Acts 2001, No. 1289, § 1.
