Section 23-79-201 - Claims arising outside United States - Automobile liability insurer

A person having a claim for personal injury or property damage arising out of the use of a motor vehicle in a foreign country by another who, at the time of the injury or damage, was covered by a policy of automobile liability insurance with an insurer subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of this state, may sue the insurer directly on the claim in any court of competent jurisdiction in the county of which the person was a resident at the time the injury or damage occurred.Acts 1965, No. 130, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, § 66-3244.
