The purpose of this subchapter is to promote the public welfare by reducing the loss of life and fire damage to property caused by the crime of arson by requiring insurance companies to secure antiarson applications from applicants for new policies of property insurance containing information to control the incidence of arson fraud.Acts 1983, No. 359, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, § 66-5606.
