Section 24-8-711 - Eligibility for benefits - Early retirement

(a) Any member of the Tier Two Actual Judicial Service Benefit Plan for the Arkansas Judicial Retirement System who has eight (8) years or more of actual service in the system may elect to retire and receive retirement benefits at any time after reaching sixty-two (62) years of age and before reaching sixty-five (65) years of age.(b) The retirement benefits of a member electing to retire before sixty-five (65) years of age with less than twenty (20) years of actual service shall be reduced six percent (6%) for each full year and proportionately for any part of a year that the judge or justice retires before reaching sixty-five (65) years of age.Acts 1999, No. 399, § 1.
