(a) The Secretary of the Department of Finance and Administration is authorized to allow vehicles to be registered for a renewal period of two (2) years, if the secretary determines that the two-year renewal period would facilitate the vehicle registration process. If a vehicle registration is renewed for a two-year period, the renewal fee shall be two (2) times the annual renewal fee for that vehicle, plus the cost of the annual license plate validation decal for both years for that vehicle.(b) The secretary is authorized to provide for the registration of vehicles by mail, telephone, electronically, or any other method which the secretary determines would facilitate the vehicle registration process.Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 4520, eff. 7/1/2019.Acts 1997, No. 974, § 15.
