(a) No owner of a motor vehicle who shall have obtained a certificate from the Secretary of the Department of Finance and Administration as provided in this subchapter shall be required to obtain any other license or permits to use and operate the motor vehicle; nor shall the owner be required to display upon his or her motor vehicle any other number than the number of the registration issued by the secretary, or excluded, or prohibited, or limited in the free use of the motor vehicle upon any public street, avenue, road, turnpike, driveway, parkway, or any other public place, at any time when it is open to the use of persons having or using other vehicles; nor shall the owner be required to comply with other provisions or conditions as to the use of motor vehicles, except as provided in this chapter.(b) Motor vehicles may be excluded from any cemetery or grounds used for the burial of the dead by the authorities having jurisdiction over the cemetery or grounds.(c) Nothing contained in this section shall be construed to affect the power of municipal corporations to make and enforce ordinances, rules, and regulations affecting motor vehicles which are used within their limits for in this section shall be construed to affect the power of municipal corporations to make and enforce ordinances, rules, and regulations affecting motor vehicles which are used within their limits for public hire.Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 4528, eff. 7/1/2019.Acts 1911, No. 134, § 13; C. & M.
