Section 27-14-711 - Examination of registration records and index of stolen and recovered vehicles

The Office of Motor Vehicle, upon receiving application for original registration of a vehicle or any certificate of title, shall first check the engine and serial number, or other identifying number, shown in the application against the indexes of registered motor vehicles and against the index of stolen and recovered motor vehicles required to be maintained by this chapter.Acts 1949, No. 142, § 37; A.S.A. 1947, § 75-137.
