(a) Upon payment of the fee required by law for the registration of the motor vehicle, payment of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) to cover the design-use contribution fee, and payment of an additional ten-dollar handling and administrative fee for the issuance of the special In God We Trust license plate, the Department of Finance and Administration shall issue to the motor vehicle owner an In God We Trust license plate which shall bear the approved design.(b)(1)(A) The handling and administrative fee of ten dollars ($10.00) shall be deposited into the State Central Services Fund for the benefit of the Revenue Division of the Department of Finance and Administration.(B) The fee shall not be considered or credited to the division as direct revenues.(2) The design-use contribution fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) shall be deposited as special revenues into the State Treasury to the credit of the In God We Trust License Plate Fund.Acts 2005, No. 727, § 1.
