Section 27-16-903 - Authority to cancel licenses

(a)(1)(A) The Office of Driver Services is authorized to cancel any driver's license or identification card upon determining that:(i) The licensee was not entitled to the issuance of the driver's license or identification card under this chapter;(ii) The applicant failed to give the required or correct information in his or her application or committed any fraud in making the application; or(iii) The licensee possessed, used, or created a forged, altered, or fraudulent driver's license.(B) Upon cancellation of any such license, the Office of Driver Services may additionally suspend or revoke any validly issued license of any licensee found in possession of an invalid license or who has caused or assisted in the issuance of an invalid license.(2) The decision to suspend or revoke the original license of the licensee shall be made in accordance with the provisions of § 27-16-907.(b) Upon cancellation, the licensee must surrender the license so cancelled.(c) The Office of Driver Services shall not grant an application for a new license to any driver if the driver's previous license was cancelled, suspended, or revoked as a result of a determination that the applicant committed any
