Section 27-25-106 - Exemption - Vicarious liability

A peer-to-peer car-sharing program and a shared-vehicle owner are exempt from vicarious liability consistent with 49 U.S.C. § 30106, as it existed on January 1, 2023, and under any state law or local ordinance that imposes liability based solely on motor vehicle ownership.Added by Act 2023, No. 686,§ 3, eff. 8/1/2023.
