(a) The driver of a vehicle which collides with another vehicle that is unattended shall immediately stop and either locate and notify the operator or owner of the vehicle of the name and address of the driver and owner of the vehicle striking the unattended vehicle or shall leave in a conspicuous place in the vehicle struck a written notice giving the name, address, and contact information of the driver and of the owner of the vehicle doing the striking and a statement of the circumstances thereof.(b) An accident of this nature shall include all accidents which occur upon the streets or highways, upon the parking area of private business establishments, or elsewhere throughout the state.Amended by Act 2017, No. 615,§ 2, eff. 8/1/2017.Acts 1937, No. 300, § 39; Pope's Dig., § 6697; A.S.A. 1947, § 75-904; Acts 1987, No. 88, § 3.
