(a) The Arkansas State Game and Fish Commission shall establish a system of identification numbering for all motorboats used in this state pursuant to this subchapter.(b) In the event that an agency of the United States Government shall have in force an overall system of identification numbering for motorboats within the United States, the numbering system employed pursuant to this subchapter by the commission shall be in conformity therewith.(c) The commission shall assign to each county in this state a block of identification numbers for motorboats registered in each county.(d) The identification numbers shall be assigned to each county in the state, and it shall be the duty of the Secretary of the Department of Finance and Administration to issue the identification numbers to the owners of motorboats in accordance with the provisions of § 27-101-101 et seq., § 27-101-201 et seq., and this subchapter.Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 4820, eff. 7/1/2019.Acts 1959, No. 453, § 4; 1963, No. 140, §§ 1, 2; A.S.A. 1947, § 21-224; Acts 1987, No. 122, § 2.
