(a)(1) Any person who has been designated by any corporation, either foreign or domestic, as its authorized agent for service of process, may file with the Secretary of State a signed statement that he or she is unwilling to continue to act as the agent of the corporation.(2) Upon the expiration of sixty (60) days after the filing of the statement with the Secretary of State, the capacity of the person as agent shall terminate.(b) Upon the filing of the statement, the Secretary of State forthwith shall give written notice, by mail, to the corporation of the filing of the statement and the effect thereof. The notice shall be addressed to the corporation at its principal office, as shown by the records of the Secretary of State's office, and the corporation shall immediately designate another agent for service of process.Acts 1941, No. 54, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, § 64-1102.
