Section 4-59-406 - Negotiation of receipt by depositor of encumbered or another's goods without disclosing facts

Any person who deposits goods to which he or she has no title or upon which there is a lien or mortgage, and who takes for the goods a negotiable receipt which he or she afterward negotiates for value with intent to deceive and without disclosing his or her want of title or the existence of the lien or mortgage, shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.Acts 1915, No. 273, § 55; C. & M.
