It is lawful for a superintendent, warden, or jailor, or his or her duly authorized agent, to require, as a condition of admission, a reasonable search as permitted by the Arkansas Constitution and the United States Constitution of the person or vehicle of anyone seeking admission to, or to visit in, the Department of Corrections, jails, state institutions, or other places where persons are confined.Amended by Act 2023, No. 659,§ 41, eff. 1/1/2024.Acts 1953, No. 88, § 3; A.S.A. 1947, § 41-2852; Acts 2005, No. 1994, § 494.
