Section 5-72-103 - Cutting timber on swamp and overflowed lands

(a) Any person who cuts, destroys, or removes any timber standing on any of the swamp and overflowed lands granted by the United States Congress to this state is subject to indictment and upon conviction is guilty of a Class B misdemeanor.(b) Additionally, restitution is set at the full value of the timber cut, destroyed, or carried away.Acts 1853, § 35, p. 161; C. & M.
