Section 5-73-129 - Furnishing a handgun or a prohibited weapon to a felon

(a) A person commits the offense of furnishing a handgun to a felon if he or she sells, barters, leases, gives, rents, or otherwise furnishes a handgun to a person whom he or she knows has been found guilty of or pleaded guilty or nolo contendere to a felony.(b) A person commits the offense of furnishing a prohibited weapon to a felon if he or she sells, barters, leases, gives, rents, or otherwise furnishes: (1) A bomb;(2) Metal knuckles;(3) A defaced firearm, as described in § 5-73-107; or(4) Other implement for the infliction of serious physical injury or death that serves no lawful purpose, to a person he or she knows has been found guilty of or who has pleaded guilty or nolo contendere to a felony.(c) Furnishing a handgun or a prohibited weapon to a felon is a Class B felony.Amended by Act 2019, No. 1051,§ 3, eff. 7/24/2019.Amended by Act 2019, No. 495,§ 3, eff. 7/24/2019.Acts 1994 (2nd Ex.
