(a) The procedures and deadlines established in this chapter shall, for the purposes of this chapter, be in lieu of and supersede those set forth in existing laws of this state with respect to the establishment, organization, and administration of vocational-technical postsecondary institutions and community colleges.(b) Existing laws of this state shall for the purposes of this chapter apply only in those situations which are not specifically provided for in this chapter and, when applied, shall be consistent, insofar as possible, with the purpose, procedures, and deadlines contained in this chapter.Acts 1991, No. 1244, § 37.
