(a) Unless Arkansas State University Three Rivers elects to become a community college, Arkansas State University Three Rivers shall be known as a technical college.(b) Arkansas State University Three Rivers shall maintain higher education institutional accreditation from an accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.(c) The Board of Trustees of the Arkansas State University system shall be responsible for the administration and operation of Arkansas State University Three Rivers and shall be further responsible for the provision of services to meet the two-year postsecondary educational needs of the citizens located within the service area assigned to Arkansas State University Three Rivers by the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board.Amended by Act 2021, No. 19,§ 1, eff. 7/28/2021.Amended by Act 2015, No. 865,§ 10, eff. 7/22/2015.Acts 1991, No. 617, § 1; 1997, No. 1114, § 13.
