The American Sign Language may qualify as a foreign language for the purpose of meeting general elective credit requirements for graduation from state-supported colleges and universities in Arkansas if the language is taught by a qualified instructor of American Sign Language and if the course is conducted under the supervision of an instructor at the college or university as approved by that college or university.Acts 1999, No. 1269, § 1.
