(a) If a state-supported institution of higher education requires the completion of an essay for an institutional scholarship application, the state-supported institution of higher education shall retain the essay for at least one (1) year after it is submitted by the student.(b) During the period of time the essay is retained by the state-supported institution of education, only the student or the parent or guardian of the student may access the essay.Added by Act 2015, No. 1186,§ 1, eff. 7/22/2015.
