Section 7-6-204 - Restriction on cash contributions or expenditures - Exception

(a) No campaign contribution in excess of one hundred dollars ($100) or expenditure in excess of fifty dollars ($50.00) shall be made or received in cash.(b) All contributions or expenditures in behalf of a campaign activity, other than in-kind contributions and expenditures, in excess of the amounts mentioned in subsection (a) of this section shall be made: (1) By a written instrument containing the name of the donor and the name of the payee;(2) By credit card or debit card where the transaction results in a paper record signed by the cardholder, provided that the paper record contains the following information for the cardholder at the time of making the contribution: (A) Valid name;(B) Complete address;(C) Place of business;(D) Employer; and(E) Occupation; or(3) By transaction that results in an electronic record created or transmitted by the cardholder where a contribution or expenditure is made through the internet, provided that the electronic record contains the following information for the cardholder at the time of making the contribution:(A) Valid name;(B) Complete address;(C) Place of business;(D) Employer; and(E) Occupation.(c) The payment of filing fees may be in

nformation for the cardholder at the time of making the contribution:(A) Valid name;(B) Complete address;(C) Place of business;(D) Employer; and(E) Occupation.(c) The payment of filing fees may be in cash even though the amount exceeds fifty dollars ($50.00).
