Section 7-9-301 - Calling constitutional convention - Majority vote

(a) When a majority of the qualified electors of this state voting on the issue at a general election shall vote for the holding of a constitutional convention, the convention shall be held. The delegates thereto shall be selected and qualified as provided in this subchapter.(b) Whenever a majority of the electors voting on the question vote against the holding of a constitutional convention, no convention shall be held. Delegates to the proposed convention elected at the election shall have and exercise no power or authority and shall perform no functions by virtue of their election as delegates.Acts 1968 (1st Ex.
