Section 8-5-902 - Definitions and applicability

As used in this subchapter:(1) 'Commission' means the Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission;(2) 'Long-term improvement project' or 'project' means any remediation or reclamation project at closed or abandoned: (A) Mineral extraction sites;(B) Solid waste management units as defined pursuant to the Arkansas Hazardous Waste Management Act of 1979, § 8-7-201 et seq.;(C) Oil and gas extraction sites;(D) Brownfield sites as defined in Acts 1995, No. 125, or as may be amended; and(E) Hazardous substance sites listed on the National Priorities List, 42 U.S.C. § 9605, or state priority list, § 8-7-509(f), or as may be amended; and(3) 'Water quality standard' means standards developed through administrative rulemaking by the commission.Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 2585, eff. 7/1/2019.Amended by Act 2013, No. 1127,§ 4, eff. 8/16/2013.Acts 1997, No. 401, § 2; 1999, No. 1164, § 60.
